Combine nature, training, and exploration.

while expanding your relationship and your horizons.

You want to take your horse outside.

To walk, ride, explore, and experience more together.

  • Perhaps group trail rides feel too fast, too much, or not attuned enough to what you and your horse need.

  • Maybe going out alone feels a bit uncertain.

  • Or you may want to prepare your horse for trail riding or build more confidence and ease in new environments.

  • Or you simply long for a richer experience together — one where nature, connection, and gentle adventure meet at a pace that feels right for both of you.

On-the-Go Training offers a guided way to bring your partnership into the outside world — through experiences that strengthen trust, communication, confidence, and connection.

We move out in a small, attuned group — at a pace that supports both horse and human.

The richness of moving through nature together

There is something special about moving through nature with your horse — not only to go somewhere, but to share that experience together.

The open space, the rhythm of walking, the pauses, the changing surroundings, and the simple act of being out together - all bring a quality into the relationship that the arena cannot fully provide.

It is so much more than an outing.

It becomes a shared experience that deepens how you move together, listen to each other, and build confidence beyond the familiar.

Guided in the moments that matter

As you walk or ride, moments naturally arise that can deepen your understanding of your horse: a shift in attention, a change in rhythm, curiosity, hesitation, excitement, relaxation, or the need for more clarity.

These moments are not rushed past.

They are noticed, given space when needed, and used as meaningful learning opportunities to strengthen communication, confidence, and trust.

Throughout the experience, I guide you in real time — alongside you and your horse.

Sometimes it means helping your horse understand, regulate, soften, reconnect, or find more clarity before moving on.

In most cases, one of my experienced horses comes along — a settled presence that supports the group, offering your horse added security.

The experience deepens further, day by day

The learning does not stop when we return to home base.

What was experienced outside is brought back into the whole experience. We take time to reflect on what you and your horse experienced. We look at what became clear, what was challenging, what changed, and what might need more support.

From there, we may zoom in on a specific skill, refine timing, feel, direction, or body language, or offer more support where your horse needs help. Then, the next time you go out, you bring this with you.

Not as theory, but as embodied experience and greater insight.

Not as separate outings, but as a progressive journey where nature, training, adventure, rest, reflection, and connection come together.

This is the heart of On-the-Go Training: a guided experience where you and your horse explore the outside world together — while deepening the trust, communication, confidence, and shared understanding that stay with you long after the journey ends.

The rhythm of the day

Each day, we head out.

We walk.
We pause.
The horses graze.

We take time to rest, recharge, reflect, and let the experience settle.

Then we continue.

Some participants walk beside their horse.
Some may ride at walk when it feels right and safe.

The experience is always shaped around what supports both horse and human in that moment.

After each outing, we return to the home base of Aligned Horsemanship Academy, where the horses can settle, rest, and spend the night in their paddocks.

This rhythm creates space for both experience and integration — time out in nature, and time to return, rest, and let the learning land.

For Whom

On-the-Go Training is for riders and non-riders who feel drawn to experiencing more with their horse outside — whether on foot, in the saddle at walk, or moving between both.

It is especially suited for those who want to enjoy nature with their horse in a slower, more connected way, while deepening trust, ease, communication, and confidence.

The format is in “walk” throughout - on foot alongside your horse, or in the saddle at walk when it feels good for both of you.

What guides every moment is the wellbeing of both you and your horse.

When is this a good fit

For this experience to be truly beneficial, a basic foundation of communication and guidance needs to be present, and being outside with your horse should not be entirely new.

If that foundation is not yet there, other formats within Aligned Horsemanship — such as private lessons or the Aligned Groundwork Year Program — may offer a more suitable starting point for now.

Frequently Asked Questions On the Go Experience

Do I need to ride?

No, not at all.

All experiences take place in walk. You can stay on foot alongside your horse, or ride when it feels appropriate for both of you.

We support a natural “hop on, hop off” approach — guided by what the moment asks.

What if I don't feel fully confident outside yet?

That is absolutely welcome.

This experience is not about pushing forward or being perfect,  but about developing a greater ability to be outside together in a way that feels grounded and manageable.

We work at a pace that supports both you and your horse.

What if my horse struggles along the way?

That is exactly what this experience is designed for. The group is small, the guidance is live, and I am there with you throughout.

We slow down when needed. We pause. We support your horse in what arises.

These are not interruptions - they are the moments where real learning happens.

My horse hasn't been outside much. is that okay?

It depends on what is already in place - not just where you have trained, but how your horse responds and how you guide.

We look at this together beforehand to determine whether this is the right next step.

Is this suitable for young or sensitive horses?

Yes absolutely, provided there is a basic foundation in communication and guidance.

The group is intentionally small and well-supported.

When beneficial, one of my experienced horses joins - offering a steady, reassuring presence that helps other horses settle and learn.

Sensitive and young horses often respond very well in this setting, as they are supported in real moments, with the right timing, guidance, and environment around them.

Can I bring two horses?

Yes, absolutely.

If you are used to handling both horses together, you can guide them yourself.

If that feels like too much, you can bring an additional handler of your own.
If you don’t have someone, we can provide a second handler familiar with Aligned Horsemanship to support you and your horse.

What about trot and canter during the experience?

In the 3 day Aligned Horsemanship experience, we stay in walk.

Here, the focus is on developing how you and your horse move together in real environments - creating the foundation for everything that follows.

Trot and canter can absolutely become part of the process, but not within a firstOn the Go experience

When both you and your horse feel ready, and there is a shared desire within the group, follow-up experiences can be organised where we gradually expand into other gaits.

What happens in case of bad weather?

We work in most natural conditions.

If the weather would significantly impact the quality or safety of the experience, the dates will be adjusted accordingly.

I am looking for something more tailored - what is possible?

Get in touch.

On the Go Training can also be organised privately or at your own location, with full flexibility in format and focus.

If you have a specific intention - for example working in trot or canter, or creating a more tailored experience - we explore what would best suit you and your horse.
